Happy St. Patty's Day! 
Today I've got a simple banner that you can whip up much faster than corned beef and cabbage...

I loved the green plaid paper when I first saw it and knew I'd use it for a St. Patty's banner.

This Clarice alphabet die from Tonic is amazing! It looks so fancy and yet it is so simple to cut out- one pass through the machine with cream card stock and then a second time with gold mirror card stock. Pop the gold letter into the 'framework' of cream and it's done! It looks like it took a lot of time to put that together and it couldn't have been easier.

Rosettes are a simple embellishment any time you need to show off letters on a banner. I ran a gold ribbon through the banner flags and it was ready to hang on the door!

pieces of life (March)...

Here is the latest installment in our monthly book club, 'Pieces of Life'...  We've got both St. Patrick's Day and Easter this time around! 

Remember, the book paper you see is simply used as photo mats throughout our book.

For this insert, I cut out the 'window' and stitched the whole piece to a bingo card (it's on the backside) so that I'd have a photo pocket open on the top. I think it's my favorite page so far out of all the months!

The facing page has a basket image that is only glued down on the top and bottom so that the shipping tag can easily slide in and out.

The bingo card on the back...

has a beautiful shamrock image added to it.

This last spread is so blurry you can barely make out what it looks like! Sorry- really bad photographer!!

The bunny postcard is just so darling!

shamrock fairy...

Here's one of my "whoops-I-forgot-to-post-before-St.-Patrick's-Day" projects!

This postcard image is kinda small- about 3"x5". The fairy on it was just darling on her own so she didn't need much embellishing.

I kept it pretty simple with just a pretty green button and a little snippet of flower trim.

Last detail was a strip of border-punched paper. Lately I've been giving my punches quite a workout- kinda nice after having them sit in a drawer forEVa!

top o' the mornin' to you...

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!

This one was pretty quick to put together... it all started with the single image of a hat and some flowers. I cut out the silhouette of the image and then I cut it just about in half, following the flowers and the edge of the top hat.

Using multiple layers of chipboard underneath the top portion of the image, I was able to really give this some depth. Lots and lots of Stickles added just the right amount of Leprechaun sparkle.

Another framed piece today...

Isn't she a cutie in her little green dress and bonnet? LOVE her!
I put her onto a Jenni Bowlin bingo card and added some ribbon, paper punched with a border punch, pom pom trim and green sparkly pipe cleaner.

Have you ever added pipe cleaners to anything? I realize they are now called chenille stems- guess it makes them sound fancy- but I will forever call them pipe cleaners. You should have seen the confused look on a young clerk at Michael's one day when I asked for them... they had NO idea what I was talking about!

I'm a little teapot...

Every month I've been doing a series of holiday-themed framed pieces I can put out on display. This month was really fun with all the great St. Patty's images out there. Even though this tiny teapot isn't actually 'themed', it was green and so cute it was hard to resist.

I found it here on The Graphics Fairy and printed it out multiple times so that I could cut it into pieces and 'layer' it with chipboard in between each one.

It's so tiny and sparkly in it's little frame- I just love it!
