'tis the season...

Well, almost...
But it's never too early to work on cute stuff for Christmas or to listen to Christmas music. In fact, I listen to Christmas music all year long. just because. My two favorites are Dean Martin's Christmas album (yeah, it's from about a zillion years ago so it originally was one of those big, flat, black circle thingies called a record! Fortunately, after searching for literally years, I found it on CD) and It's A Brand New Year from SheDaisy. Oh how I love those two CD's!
Anyway, here's a little Holiday House that I had a ball making. For those of you who have never seen one, the lid lifts off and it's actually a small gift box. I made a small cake pedestal to put it on (it's glued on tight, along with the little snowy trees) so it had a little more presence.
This house reminds me of the old book series The Borrowers. I read those books over and over as a young girl and always wished there really were tiny little people using all the little things we cast off. I think this would make a good house for them!
What would the holidays be without a wreath on the door? And aren't the shutters on the windows just adorable? They are part a stamp set from PaperTrey that came out a few years ago. It's got several styles of windows and doors plus tiny window boxes and a sentiment or two included in the set.
Happy Holidays!

LOVE your little house and your memories of the little people who may have dwelled there. Love that your desk looks a lot like the one I am trying to get back to too. Keep smiling and creating.

LOVE this wonderful little house. And when I do listen to Christmas music, I tend to listen to the vintage stuff and Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown is my favorite. :)
