I adore bird images and The Graphics Fairy has been a wonderful resource. The other day I printed out a handful of my favorites and decided to frame them. After cutting them out, rounding the corners and inking the edges, I attached the images to several layers of cardboard.

The frames I bought were 5x7 and the images were too small to fit the opening so they need mats. I used another piece of cardboard and covered it 'patchwork'-style with old book pages.

The bird images were then mounted on top. Next time maybe I should 'read the fine print' before I use a page since the bottom right hand of this one says something about killing yourself! Whoops!

Dollar Store frames again, painted Heirloom White. I wonder if I should just buy stock in Rustoleum instead? They certainly get a lot of my money.

These are wonderful!! I really like how you patchworked the book pages behind the birds, such a great looking technique! Thanks so much for linking this one up today to Brag Monday!

I found you via GF only this week and have been drooling over your art work this whole week. I love your art pieces, especially all the bird ones as I love birds. I also love your sense of humor, especially in this one :)
