Today I'm participating in The Graphic Fairy's 'brag Monday'. I've got to tell you- if you've only got a minute or two SKIP my post and hurry on over to hers and check out the fabulous ideas that her followers have submitted. I mean, they are totally over the top and creative. I'm dying to grab my crafting stuff and play today, but alas, house cleaning is on my agenda instead.
For anyone still here...
I have a folding screen that is meant to hold photos (you might remember them from the '90s... they were horrible! I got it for about $15 thinking I could do something else with it) For years it held pieces of damask fabric and for awhile it even had leopard-print wallpaper. Um, yeah, no comment please.
It was time to give the poor thing an update. I love love love antique bird prints and The Graphics Fairy has so many wonderful images to choose from that I decided to use some of them on this project. I found an old book of sheet music at the thrift store and used them as the base for most of the collages.
Here are a few of the collages I've made so far to fill the photo inserts.
I've been working on collages for awhile but still haven't filled every hole. It's been a good way to use up little pieces of this and that from my stash. The vintage egg & bird images are all from http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/
When it's completely done I'll post another photo!
