towering teacups...

I had a play with the Vineyard Squares die and thought it was pretty amazing the way it's designed to be lined up and cut... allowing you a single image or an easily-repeated sequence. This technique of die cutting was completely new to me. My take-away? I can't wait to play with more of these!
I used it to make a block of four images for the base of this card. After that I layered a tower of teacups cut out individually and then "stacked" over the background.
The black card stock is really heavy (100#) and it cuts beautifully for these delicate sentiments- and with 2 glued together it's strong enough to hold it's own and create really good dimension. I love this stuff and snap it up at Michael's whenever it goes on sale- I'd recommend you do the same. Gotta have a hardy supply!
Right now I've got to go make myself a big ol' cup of tea...

xo,
