fly little birdie, fly...

 A friend gave me a necklace the other day- there was nothing wrong with it, she just though it looked kinda plain with those flat silver disks.  

 I saw those silver disks as perfect surfaces to embellish!

 Out came the button jar with pretties I'd been saving for some project or another...

 A little E6000, a rhinestone pin and voila... I was halfway there!

 I found a flat mother-of-pearl disk and then printed out a tiny image of my favorite Graphics Fairy bird. Glossy Accents to glue it to the disk and then covering the entire thing to make a thick uniform coat over both the disk and the bird, it was almost complete...

The finishing touch was a silver bird charm I picked up somewhere. 
Fly little birdie, fly.

...I bet my friend is gonna want her necklace back now!...
